Testimonials

Comments made by one young man after the pilot Workshop in Norwich Prison

1.

Were there any surprises for you?

I was surprised to hear that one of the couples openly spoke about having an affair to get together.

2.

Were there any disappointments?

I cannot say that I that I was disappointed with anything that I found out but I did not know how to react when one of the couples told us that they were cousins.

3.

It what way might it make a difference to you?

I think that the whole experience has taught me that trust and love are the biggest factors in a marriage and even if you have both of these factors you will always have to compromise to make it work, and last but not least it will only work if you both want it to.

4.

Would you recommend it to a friend – or not? What would you say?

I would definitely recommend the course to my friends because it not only teaches you about marriage it gives you a little look into life as a whole.

Summary

I feel like I have learned more through talking to these couples than I would have by getting into a number of relationships (trial & error) and because it has made me understand that there is a lot more to marriage than two people in love, it has made me see that married people are also best of friends and that is what makes the marriage last (friends forever and then love falls into it).
